Tagging

This year, 19 climbers are planning to climb Mt Kinabalu from the 18-20 March. I was asked to do the tags. The group is somewhat big and these tags will help the organisers to be more efficient when it comes to weighing and identifying the bags.

I had already printed out the tags and only thing to do was to cut out the individual tags from an A4-sized paper.

Yesterday I started on my task at 12.30AM and it took me almost 2 hours to complete the task. Each climber has 3 tags and I cut extra blank ones just in case they needed more.

By the time I'm done, it was almost 2.30AM.

Today when I passed the tags to Messner, I asked if he knew what was it for and he replied saying that if I were to come or if he brought me along to KK, I would know what to do with it.

How I wished I was going. I had a chance to go when the 20th person pulled out from the team last week. The organisers asked me or my sister whether anyone of us were interested. I knew that I didn't have enough training and that I had a lot of work to do this month. And so I declined. Rachel said no too for other reasons.

I may not make it to Mt Kinabalu, but I'm hoping to summit Gunung Ledang again this coming May 1st. We are going via the Asahan Trail. So... just keeping my fingers crossed that it won't rain during that week. :)
