Petrol prices went up again!

I got this off The Star-online minutes ago. You can also refer below, I cut and paste for easy reading. All credit goes to The Star of course.

Yes, the petrol prices have risen, from RM1.92 per liter to RM2.70 about 40% increase. I told my sister that she should ask for a 44%pay raised. Eveything is so expensive now. The price of flour, from RM1.50 to RM2.50 - 66%, Rice from RM19.90 to ??? I"m not sure how much, but it's about 50% increase..., vegetable oil from 16.90 to 25.90 - 53% increase, Milo-2KG from RM20 to RM29 - 45% increase and you know lah, when prices of these increase, the meals that we eat outside also increase. Last year, a bowl of noodles cost RM 3.00, now, RM3.50. But with the hike of fuel prices, I think a simple bowl of laksa may cost RM3.80 - RM4.00. Pegsan! (Faint!)

I can't understand the 44% raise in salary because petrol prices went up by 41%.

Anyway, whatever it is, no way will my boss give me so high a pay raise. She'll ask me to go find another job instead!

Gas (petrol) prices here are $ 3.92USD/Gallon and projected to be 4.25 by the end of summer. All other goods and commodities up too. I heard two months ago that the rice crop in Thailand and Vietnam very poor, hence the price increase for rice.
